Original Triumph Stag  – just resprayed

This is a really lovely Mk 2 Stag, that drives ‘extremely well’ and supplied with many servicing records and invoices totalling approximately £10k . This last year of sale 1978 example has covered only 72,000 miles and comes with a thorough history file. It also has both the soft and the desirable hard-top option. It also comes with a very rare wind deflector.

The servicing up to 54,000 miles is documented in the original service book called a ‘passport’, with many invoices thereafter. The car also comes with a Heritage Certificate. The car has dome remarkablky sparing miles for example about 2300 in the last 17 years.

The automatic transmission Stag we offer comes with BMIHT certificate confirming matching numbers and build specification. The car was in the previous owner’s possession for the past 20 years until 2009, kept garaged under a dustsheet and enjoying a pampered existence, being serviced regularly and seldom venturing out in inclement weather. Purchased by the vendor at Bonhams Beaulieu Sale (Lot 515), ‘BYB 354S’ has covered a little over 70,000 miles from new and only 4,400 since the original engine was rebuilt in June 1996. A re-spray was carried out and some body panels replaced in April 2003, while the most recent comprehensive service was undertaken in November 2007. The car comes with copies of various service/repair invoices from 2003 on, with further work including a new soft-top and frame, assorted brightwork items, new carpets and renovated wheels. A hardtop is included, and the car is fitted with an immobiliser.

Finished in Carmine Red with beige interior. The paintwork had micro blistering and so we have now just undertaken a respray
