The Jensen C-V8 is a four-seater GT car produced by Jensen Motors between 1962 and 1966.The car was one of the fastest production four-seaters of its era. The Mk II, capable of 136 mph and 0-60 in 6.7 seconds that’s good by today’s standards let alone 50 years ago
This Jensen CV8 has a well documented and fascinating provenance and its story can be followed back to when it was first registered in 1965
The car has been subject to comprehensive restoration work and attention during the 90’s and new millenium. There is an extensive history file including original green logbook, copy factory test sheet and other bills. For example Knight Racing Services undertook and complete mechanical overhaul and Midland Transmissions of Kettering refurbished the automatic gearbox. Work has included four new brake discs with Coopercraft two-pot front callipers, a Mallory fuel pump plus twin radiator cooling fans instruments have also been re-calibrated. The car was resprayed in 2006.
The current owner, who we know well, has continued the good work since 2013 with a stainless-steel fuel tank and exhaust, replacement door seals, new tyres and custom-made rear seatbelts.
